David F. Eshelman -
President, CEO & Founder
David is an attorney with an emphasis in transportation regulation by trade and brings over three decades of industry experience to the helm of Salem
Logistics. He founded the company in 1985 after serving as Vice President of Pricing for McLean Trucking Company, then one of the nation's largest
less-than-truckload carriers. David developed his passion for the transportation industry while driving all kinds of trucks during his college summer
jobs, and his comprehensive supply chain expertise has grown to include in-depth knowledge of transportation management, innovation, strategy,
implementation, pricing and sales. He holds a BS from Kent State University and earned his JD from the School of Law at the University of Akron. He
and his wife, Diane, have been married since 1969 and have two daughters, Katy and Jennifer. When he's not focused on solving transportation
challenges for his customers, he's is a voracious reader and a fair-weather golfer who can usually be found at the bookstore or on the golf course
testing out his newest game-enhancing gadget.
